From sources on Facebook that are heavily into hk cinema these are supposedly transmitters that live up to the boasts on the cover. Not always the case with blu-ray transfers. I'm currently watching the dragon dynasty hard boiled and while decent I can see real room for improvement

It's getting a re-release in a few weeks time, on pre-order for £8.99 at the minute, I bought the steelbook last year, it's good version of it

Went to my local HMV store and picked up 3 blu-rays in their 3 for 20 pounds offer. All classic films. David Cronenberg's The Brood, Stuart Gordon's From Beyond and Christopher Nolan's Memento. Was pleased as I had never seen The Brood or From Beyond in the offer before. Am looking forward to watching these 3 movies in high definition.

I own that blu-ray. It's quite a poor release. Also there's a weird glitch where a brown line that was a part of the menu, remains on the screen whilst you are viewing the film! (Unless you have your television's overscan mode turned on). There was a non-english friendly 4K mastered Japanese release a while back. Am hoping that version will get a english friendly release.

Interesting. I've only seen it the one time when i bought it a couple of years ago. I'll have to revisit it again soon.

I do tend to like the majority of Cronenberg's films. His last one to date, Maps to the Stars was excellent.

The only one i don't get on with is eXistenZ. I've never seen Fast Company or M.Butterfly so can't call on them but the rest i like.

eXistenZ seemed like a gift to his old fan base. I like it a lot. One thing about Cronenberg that you have to admire, is that he's the only old-school horror director that can still manage to raise generous budgeting for his modern movies.
