Just ordered region friendly Clerks II US blu-ray for 8 pounds. Rather an annoying purchase as it is a replacement for a previous copy which went bad (freezing badly towards the end of the movie). Only cost 8 pounds including shipping which isn't bad for an American release but nevertheless, an irritating purchase. This was my second blu-ray that had deteriorated despite initially playing fine - the first was a UK Toy Story 3. I obviously want to stick with physical media but it is very frustrating when discs become faulty!

Surreal and a bit gory. Had this European feel and the women very beautiful.

Just got City of God & Requiem for a Dream in the post, havent seen CoG since it first came out & thought I'd revisit after watching La Haine & still being amazed!
Requiem I never understood all the fuss when first but have realised I love pretty much all of Aronofski's other films . (Pi, The Wrestler, The Fountain etc), so it deserves a re watch.

Old Dark House is on order.

Great premise. I'd say 3/4 of this had me totally engaged and i really thought it was brilliant til about the last quarter of it. Than things don't fall a part but seemed to take a less interesting route to its finale. For myself any way. Its aptly directed, story is superb, and Damon continues to prove to be a fine actor when he isn't playing Bourne(not a huge criticism on that series just saying) 7.5/10



Good one. Nice balance between the drama and comedy. De Niro and Dano play very well off each other and deliver fine performances. 7.5/10

Phantasm set finally turned up from Cex and its even sealed!

had a quick look and would of been disappointed if i paid £70. the sphere is smaller than i expected(about the size in the films) but i was expecting it to be like the old set, so they really should of but the films in proper cases and not the cardboard things they come in, but for £35 cant complain
