Early bday present from the wife!

And yes, that is the original Last House On The Left even though you could never tell from the sleeve! Had to search and grab the last copy I could find nearby.

I back-tracked on I Spit after convincing myself before I wouldn't watch it again, it was staring at me for $9.99 in a shiny blue case.

Yeah that Last House cover is awful. MGM and their "artists" strike again with the bad re-release covers.

Bought myself a copy of the Best Buy exclusive Almost Famous Bootleg Cut

Just ordered THE WARRIORS for £7.95 from TheHut. Not seen this before but I'm a huge Walter Hill fan and have seen and enjoyed Castellari's Bronx Warriors trilogy so I figured the time was ripe to watch the original in all its blu ray glory. And judging by all the reviews the BD transfer is a thing of beauty!!

Had this bad boy drop through my letter box the other day.

It's two first for me:

1. It's my first Polanski blu.
2. I've finally popped my Criterion cherry!

The Warriors is fantastic, oaxaca - one of my favourite films. I'm not overly keen on the Director's Cut version, however. I found the comic book 'inserts' to disrupt the flow of the story a bit.

I didn't like the DC of The Warriors at all and have only kept the DVD for it's extras, the theatrical version is the superior cut. Same goes for The Outsiders - Coppola's longer version is vastly inferior to the original. I've become very cynical about director's cuts and extended versions...
