It's one of the worst films I've ever seen. I'm very conflicted because for the sake of your money, I hope you like it, but for the sake of your sense of humour, taste and everything that is right with the world, I hope you hate it!

I certainly hope it's smutty.

Amazon reviewers fall in to two categories - five stars or one star.

I do like British filth so we'll see.

I seem to recall it is 'smutty' in the sense of crude jokes about how certain parts of the body look and smell and a pervasive and depressing air of homophobia. Apart from that, it seems I've erased it all from memory!

At the time, Johnny Vegas was funny on TV and stand up and Mackenzie Crook was brilliant in The Office, so this was a career nadir for both.

I really like Gosford Park, it's been ages since I watched it though.

I've been meaning to add this to my collection, so saw it reasonably cheap at Music Magpie and look forward to watching it for the first time since it was first broadcast.

Picked up an R1 MGM dvd of It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. Still had the white strips on it. It is a vanilla disc ... though it does have a quote from Spencer Tracy.... on the cover
50p.

That'll save you the other £17.49 you'd have to pay for the Criterion version

But is it a good quote?

It's just his "One take is quite enough' quip. Not even a trailer. At least the cover isn't ruined by having a BBFC rating on it
