It is magnificent and possibly helps if you have a brief knowledge of the plot of Hamlet, from which it draws quite heavily for the characterisation and overall narrative arc.

Being a biker and a rocker I was quite excited when this came out, it did not disappoint. Absolutely fantastic series, one of the best in my opinion in this saturated market. Great music also throughout, I ended up looking up a lot of artists that were featured. My missus started to struggle towards the last few seasons as it seems to get more violent as it goes on. Great stuff. You will enjoy Treb, happy binging!

Agreed. Some of it is incredibly grim viewing.

I started buying it because i loved Sutter's other series The Shield, but on the whole i think Sons was better.

Or was it? I really don't know.

Sadly Sons ended in the only way possible. I will not say how here though.

I bought:

SUSPIRIA (Cult Films) Blu-ray. There seems to be a few arguments over which looks the best in this & the Synapse release but I happy enough with this.
LEECH WOMAN (Screenbound)

Does anyone know where I can buy the tv series from?
This release has the complete film series (didn't know there was a tv series) and shogun assassin. As far as I'm aware it's everything. It's a real shame Criterion couldn't get the gorgeous Zatoichi set to these shores.

Pre ordered this.

Michael Brooke has been detailing the bonus features on Facebook including a lengthy (over an hour) interview with Don Siegel leased from the BFI. I'm fairly certain this should be definitive.
