I was really impressed with the AV quality on the Labyrinth disc. It takes a while to get used to the amount of grain evident, something I noticed when I quickly browsed through The Bridge on the River Kwai as well, but there is so much more detail than the standard Blu-ray release and the Dolby Atmos track creates a really involving soundstage for the musical numbers and extremely clear dialogue.

What Ultra HD player did you buy?

Two where 50p and three where £1 and yes that is Dunkirk the latest one, two disc slipcover

I've never seen
Chaser
Paris 45 renaissance
Days of being wild

Watched Dunkirk few week back , I know being in any war not a nice thing and you would never know what you would do if you stuck in a certain situation, but watching it on the scenes where the three planes take fire on the people on the beach etc and one bloke shoots at one of the planes I said you got literally thousands on the beach if at least half the people all fired at the planes wouldn't be a problem bringing all three down chances of survival be almost impossible

I have the LG UP970 which came with my OLED TV and I'm really happy with it and should really use it more when watching standard Blu-ray Discs for the 4K upscaling.

Just ordered for £2.69 delivered a George A Romero film i've never seen before - Bruiser.

It's hardly ever mentioned when it comes to George's output. Is that because no one's seen it or because it's disastrously bad?

It sounds okay from the plot description.

I have the American Lions Gate DVD, which I bought in 2007. I've looked at the synopsis and cast list on my DVD Profiler and can't remember anything about it. I don't even have a record of having watched it, so I can't offer any help of what to expect. It could be it's very forgettable or simply because it's been a decade since I watched it and have seen myriad films since then.

I am tempted to dig out the disc and watch at some point this week because I really have no idea if I've seen it since some point in 2007 and will probably be like watching it for the first time.

I borrowed this book from the library once;

and it was the first time I'd ever heard of it, I was meaning to pick it up along with Monkey Shines and The Dark Half but I couldn't (at the time) find any cheap options.
