I’ve been out on the piss with Julian Barrett, he used to be in a band with a guy I worked with when I was an electrician (he played one of the bin men in an episode of the Mighty Boosh series 3) so when we were working in London we all went out with him, the guys hilarious :lol: | I read an article in the Guardian where he was being interviewed for a new sitcom, and arranged to meet up in a pub.
The journalist said they arrived early only to find him already there with a pot of tea for himself, and with absolutely no interest in talking about his work. He was quite funny in a downbeat way, but only happy to talk about his family, with no interest in telling anecdotes or generally being enthusiastic about his latest project. It seemed to me from that account as if was trying to separate his work from his family life and wasn't in the mood to talk about work!
There was a similar piece about Mindhorn sometime later and it sounds as if he was a completely different person at that time. |
