The Last Picture Show is a recently discovered classic for me.

The trilogy of books by Larry McMurtry, including The Last Picture Show, are well worth reading if you enjoyed the film.

The film sits comfortably in my top ten of all time.

I've not see The Last Picture Show so it's a blind buy for me, I'm familiar with ...Idaho though :) I'm looking forward to watching both this weekend.

The only McMurtry book i've read is Lonesome Dove. I found it quite hard going, but i was only in my teens when i read it.

I went from Joe Millard's Dollars novels to Lonesome Dove. There's quite a difference. :lol:

Popped into Poundland. Cex and the local charity shops this morning whilst out shopping. For a change Poundland had a whole load of new stuff so picked up a bundle. The charity shops had a few gems including the newly released Dark River and the Slim Man movies and i traded in a couple of dvds that were double dips at Cex to get some blurays of movies i haven't seen.
