Back from Japan after a LONG day travelling yesterday, still worn out. Didn't get much in the way of media since, as you all probably know, a) it's really expensive b) there isn't much of a collecters market, apartment and house sizes would seriously restrict the amount you could collect, and c) they have evrything spines out in the shops so it's pretty hard to find anything unless you can fluently read the 3 Japanese alphabets

I was over the moon to find Iron Maiden live at Donnington in a second hand shop though as it's one I don't have anyway, and it's cooler in Japanese

The other two arrived while I was away.

Where did you get the Emperor shirt from, Justin?

I used to have one with the E logo on the front and a cool band pic on the reverse but it got torn at a Fear Factory gig.

It's a brand new design Samoth was plugging on his Instagram, you get it direct from Plastic Head Distro

Just got back from 3 week holiday in Florida! Twas super awesome but once in a lifetime as mother in law paid for the family to go, did lots of parks & arrived home to find the following waiting for me:

White Zombie (kino lorber blu)
The Ghoul (Karloff, dropped to a fiver for the blu on amazon)
Ghoulies 1&2 steelbook (£5 from marketplace seller)
Death Occured Last Night (Raro)
Nightmare Beach
Zombie 4 (zfe3) from 88

Aaaand....had to collect some pre orders from hmv
Candyman SE
William Castle box
Night of the Demon SE

And also picked up
All Hallow's Eve-The Reaping
The Blue Skeleton (aka Houses October Built 2)
In the 2 for £10!

So yeah, lots to watch, my to watch pile must be at around 80 so far lol!

Went to HMV to use my £50 voucher so this lot only cost me a fiver :)

I'm glad I cancelled my pre-order for Candyman because now I have it for free :) I'm also a little sad that the Jeff Stryker interveiw from the Severin disc isn't included on the 88 Films version of After Death but it does have a pretty interesting interview with Allan Bryce about Vipco's history and demise.

Agreed 100%

I'll weigh in with my two pence worth, but basically, while on holiday in America recently with family I thought I'd scour the local dvd outlets to see what good stuff I could find.....I came back with 2 dvd's, Tiny Toons & Animaniacs, season 1 of each. From Walmart (basically the american tesco/asda).

Physical media outlets do not exist, and they had 5 shelves of dvd/blu ray in walmart! You want severin, shout factory, mondo macabro? Online only I'm afraid! Streaming has KILLED the physical media market, to the degree that apparently DOWNLOADS are on their way out!
I have fond memories of collecting vhs, laserdisc & now clinging on to a far too large dvd/blu collection, I agree with you because what if I don't want to watch stranger things or game of thrones? I read a very funny article about a guy trying to watch Air Force One on July 4th. He was moving & dvds were boxed up, but he subscribed to 5 different streaming services & it wasn't on any of them!!!! Streaming services literally only cater to modern audiences & you're out of luck if you want something before 2000, lol!

Collect as many of your faves on dvd & blu because it may not be possible for much longer! I know they're milking the collector but buy them if you can, while you can! I could go on & on but I won't, am just sad that something I love (film) just doesn't seem important any more. Ask the average person about Scorcesse or Kurosawa, Spielberg or Hitchcock is & they'll shrug, but ask them who their favourite youtube presenter is or if they can quote you Ed Sheeran's latest album & they'll do it.

I LOVE movies, and cult labs is evidence that I'm not alone. Keep collecting, people!

Aren't there stores such as Barnes and Noble, Best Buy, Target etc plus there are a lot of indie shops still about such as Amoeba Music in Hollywood.
