Happy with today's in-store HMV purchase. Got a four film Tim Burton blu-ray set for 12.99 pounds. Pleasingly the films are in separate amaray cases rather than it being a digipack. Two of the four films will definitely stay: Ed Wood and Nightmare Before Christmas.

The others were Frankenweenie (which I've never seen) and Alice In Wonderland (I recall it being a poor film but I'll revisit it anyway). Also pleasingly, the Frankenweenie blu-ray has the original 30 min live-action film as an extra - I'm very curious to see that.

So I ended up paying 6.50 each for 2 blu-rays that I wanted and worse case scenario, I also get a spare couple of 14mm amaray cases. :)

Frankenweenie is great

Ed Wood is one of Tim Burtons best.

Picked up ready player one from camden cex, however.....

It has a sticker on the disc called a sting ray, like a security thing libraries use to prevent theft, when i put it in my player it wouldn't play & made a beeping noise!!!! Does anybody know anything about these? It plays now but am super worried the sticker is magnetic & it's going to destroy my player!
Literally all the copies in there were from a library lol!

This weeks new arrivals.

Although i already have The Blood Beast Terror on dvd as part of the US Euroshock collection this one should be an upgrade on AV quality plus a commentary track as well.

Bought an Australian 'Next of Kin' blu-ray off a 3rd party UK Amazon firm. Never seen it before but members of a Facebook Dario Argento group were recommending it. Having watched the trailer, I can see the Argento influence that they mentioned:
