How much did they set you back from Music Magpie, if you don't mind me asking?

A very good price indeed! I'm assuming they are second-hand?

Yes, a bit dog eared in the corners but all the discs seem fine. Would probably cost me what I paid for one new.

The last few months I've been being very, very frugal and hardly buying anything.

And then the last 2 days I think I've spent a couple of hundred, mainly on 70s, 80s and 90s Blu rays.

So much for being frugal. :wise::scared::behindsofa::whip:

It's quite odd because it was made for TV and the plot is obviously different from the Alfred Hitchcock version because the protagonist – Christopher Reeve's tetraplegic/quadriplegic – is much more physically limited than Jimmy Stewart. His relationship with his nurse is also very different from in the Hitchcock film, as she is fairly sympathetic and even naïve, not cynical and worldly-wise.

It's also quite weird to watch because, unlike Stewart, Reeve was not 'pretending' and his real life paralysis was the same as Jason Kemp, the character he plays, which does give the scenario an extra authenticity and sense of urgency at times. I haven't seen it in a long time and, after writing this, quite fancy watching it again.

Thanks for the heads up Nos, the original is always a classic, will view it with a open mind,, did Steve Gutenberg do a version of this in late 80s/early 90s?

Not that I'm aware, or can find any reference to.
