Bit of a heavy week as was in Glasgow for the week and picked up a few bits from the local charity shops as pictured in the last photo and Cex as have loads of credit to spend and bought Midnight Cowboy, Thelma and Louise, Isle of Dogs, Breatless and the blurays and dvd's in the second and third to last photos. I took my annual visit to the shop 'Missing' where i picked up some classic Osamu Tezuka anime including both Unico movies. I also managed to get a few freebies from Frightfest including their new release Boar, He's Out There, Jackals, We Still Kill the Old Way and Black Butterfly.

On returning last night i had a weeks supply of packages mostly from Music Magpie including the Woody Allen Box set, Spiral, Laurel and Hardy, The Assassin, The Bfi titles and anime.
From the Facebook groups i bought Night of the Sharks, Zombie and Angel Town. Mausoleum and Meatball Machine were from Wowhd. The Sister Streetfighter collection arrived early from a Zavvi preorder. I bought the Australian comedies Backyard Ashes and The Merger from Amazon.

Recent arrivals from last month. Severin Black Friday order finally arrived. Looking forward to checking out Skinner, and All The Colours Of Giallo, plus any excuse to erase a Shameless title from my collection. LOVED Suspiria. I imported because I feared it wouldn't get a UK physical release with Mubi being the ones to have picked it up in the UK. A couple in the Criterion 2 for £25, some recent Indicator releases.

I just couldn't wait on those Arrow discs any longer, and bit the bullet paying silly money (the £10 earned in points helped, but it's still stupidly more than they were prior to HMV's issues). They were all purchases I wanted booklets for. I've noticed booklets disappearing quicker than they used to. Genuinely think they're purposefully doing a smaller first print run to save costs. I wish they'd adopt the same stance Scream Factory does with their slipcovers, guaranteed within the first three months. Plus the latest wave of Vestron Video releases.

A couple of recent purchases. Prey from Amazon.de and one of my favourites from all those late night BBC showings.

Yeah at FrightFest. It could have been the scheduling, it was the last film of the day, and they brought out some guy from Geordie Shore to introduce it, which didn't help. People near me didn't seem to like it either. Loved the Boar itself, striking and imposing, but the pace of the film was laborious. It was very murky at times and hard to make out what was happening, which could have been because it was never meant to be played on such a large screen.

The dvd wasn't murky at all. Sounds like the screen size was an issue unfortunately.
