Cult Labs - What Have You Bought Recently?

This weeks new stuff. Good week on Ebay as got several items at super cheap prices especially the Alan Clarke bluray box set which i got for £30 along with Sherlock Holmes, Buddy Holly Story, Ciao Manhattan, Karneval, Mario Lanza double bill, Deathtrap and Marfa Girl which were between £4-7 each.

From Facebook i purchased the Nikkatsu dvds, The Ilsa dvd's, Girls in the Hood and Bloodchamp.
Cutey Honey, The Lovers & The Despot were 50p each and Lillie £1.99 from my charity shop rounds this morning. A Star is Born 4K UHD , Ben Hur and Nikita were from Cex in exchange for some old dvd's and Book of Life from Poundland for £2

I have no desire to watch Ben hur remake , but it would be interest to hear your or someone else review on it tho .

I watched it when it first came out as fan of Director Timur Bekmambetov and
historical action films and liked it despite some of it flaws although it is not a patch on the 1959 classic. Worth a watch as not as bad as i was expecting and have watched a hell of a lot of worse movies in the last year or so.

Hopefully the announcement of the new Jason Goes to Hell bluray will happen soon as i talked to the director last year who said he was working on a special edition complete with the unrated cut as the double bill only contains the R-rated cut.

Buying a Fantastic Beasts 2 blu-ray tomorrow. It comes with an extended cut but I'll watch theatrical instead as annoyingly, WB have apparently put 'deleted scene' burnt in captions in the bottom left of the screen every time some new footage appears. That text is said to be displayed for around ten seconds each time. Terrible decision imo. I'd say that I was just buying the film for my wife (she's a big Harry Potter fan) but that would be a bit of a fib as I am also highly curious to see it. :) btw I was a bit 'on the fence' about the original film but I enjoyed it much more on a rewatch.
