I like those Mill Creek / Echo Bridge multi movie packs. I know todays Ultra HD 4K movie freaks will find them unwatchable due to them not being HD but i find they hit the spot when i want to watch something with a certain atmosphere. A bit like folk in American movies always seem to watch a scratchy print of Night of the Living Dead. |

Finally picked up an extended cut blu-ray of Peter Jackson's first Hobbit film. Took a look at the first fifteen minutes. Picture quality is outstanding, probably the best that 1080p blu-ray can look - it's a big upgrade from my theatrical cut bd. My wife and I will watch it tomorrow afternoon, looking forward to it (it was secondhand from Cex so I hope that it plays okay!). :) |
