So after ordering the star wars trilogy from music magpie (the 2006 releases with original cuts as a "bonus"), Empire & Jedi came today. Havent watched yet, as completely knackered from lack of sleep all through december, too long hours at work etc. Once a new hope arrives, will watch back to back. I saw the "special edition trilogy" at odeon leicester square in the late 90's, but wish i could have seen them on the big screen without all the tinkering.

Want to watch them with my son one day but when he's older, maybe 7/8?

Cant wait to watch these, will definately cheer me up.

And on a completely unrelated note, when the IT remake hit cinemas, I was very excited & happy to see joe public embrace a horror picture, but not really going to the cinema anymore, I went for the blu ray when it hit shops.....the £17.99 blu ray steeeelboooook exclusive to hmv that is now worth a paltry £8 exchange at cex because lets face it, I'm only going to watch it bloody once & forget it! Bit like justice league ......

Anyone else buy steelbooks & regret the hell out of it later? What seems cult & collectable turning into worthless & forgettable.

I paid peanuts for mine too. All three from Music Magpie. Two were in the four for £8 offer and the other was in the 2 for £3. So a paltry £5.50 in total.
