Cheers mate-so you're on a IKWYDLS run B?

Got the Ultimate Edition of Stargate most recently. Aside from a little bit of edge enhancement in a few scenes, I thought it was a very nice-looking transfer. I did notice some 'shimmering' during darker scenes, but I think this is to do with the source materials and is not a fault on Optimum's part (as this is a port of Lionsgate's US release).

In any case, it's meant to be a big improvement over the last release, and it's pretty cheap at Amazon - Stargate [Blu-ray] [1994]: Amazon.co.uk: Kurt Russell, Djimon Hounsou, James Spader, Jaye Davidson, Viveca Lindfors, John Diehl, Alexis Cruz, Leon Rippy, French Stewart, Mili Avital, Roland Emmerich: DVD.

I'm on a post-Scream slasher run in general Reaps...
I don't know what happened but suddenly I found myself wanting to watch those. :loco:

I enjoyed it,would like to see the original uncut version released though... ;)

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 29th March 2011 08:38 PM

Absolutely.
One thing about Jamie Blanks. He certainly loved his '80's slashers.

Storm Warning was another worthy modern slicer.

And while Long Weekend wasn't a patch on the original,for a remake,it wasn't bad.

I doubt we will ever see a uncut release of Valentine as it was never a big movie.
