I saw Dumbo several times when I was young – and had a record with Disney songs, so was very familiar with the soundtrack – so it's a film which has broken my heart and lifted my spirits many times.

I saw Tim Burton's reimagining of the story at the end of 2019 and didn't hate it, but didn't feel like revisiting it at any point in the future either.

A Disney film in which the villain is a corporate giant who buys his smaller competitors shows either Burton was being cunningly subversive or there is no one at Disney with any self-awareness.

Nice haul, Nos.

I really liked Victoria and Abdul, The Lincoln Lawyer, Defiance, Moneyball and er' Baywatch. The Wolf Man is really underrated i think.

Focus and The Quiet Ones were pretty good too.

The only one i didn't like one bit was 47 Ronin. Awful. One or two i haven't seen as well, and Miracle at St Anna which i've owned for years and never got round to watching.
