That horror double bill looks interesting. Hadn’t seen that one before. Aside from that one, and The H Man/Battle in Outer Space, are there many other double features from Eureka?

There are certainly non-horror doubles like Police Story I & II, but i can't recall any other horror double bills. I took the plunge on this one because at just over 15 motes it was the cheapest i'd ever seen it. Usually around £18.

A quick trip into Burnley got me a couple of mags from Smiths, a Blu from Poundland and some credit spent at CEX. (I'm a bit annoyed i didn't pick up Spartacus for £3.50 so may bob back tomorrow if i've time.)

Liking that, Susan. Good price. I'd have bought that definitely.

Nice mix of Kiske / Deris era songs.

The line-up actually features all three of their vocalists!

Michael Kiske – vocals
Andi Deris – vocals
Kai Hansen – guitars, vocals
Michael Weikath – guitars
Sascha Gerstner – guitars
Markus Grosskopf – bass
Daniel Loble – drums

The last Helloween CD I got was 'Pink Bubbles Go Ape' way back in 1991, so I am looking forward to hearing a lot of new and unknown music!

Yes, it's the Pumpkins United line up. I said Kiske / Deris eras because there's really only the medley that covers Kai Hansen's turn at the Helloween mic stand. However he does add vocals to the other songs. Basically all three sing but the songs are mainly from the two eras i mentioned.

I've no doubt you'll prefer the Kiske songs over the Deris ones because you are probably very familiar with them but post Kiske the band made some cracking albums and tracks like I Can, If i Could Fly, Power and Sole Survivor are every bit as good as songs on the first two Keeper records as i'm sure you'll come to agree the more they get into your head.

As for Pink Bubbles Go Ape? No wonder it was your last Helloween album. Some real rubbish on there. The titel of one of the bonus songs sums it up - Shit and Lobster.

Went back to Cex for Spartacus and picked up a couple of others that weren't there yesterday as well as some £3 Blu-rays from Sainsbury's. No idea if The Lion King and Mulan are supposed to be any good but i remembered how good the Blu of The Jungle Book looked so took the plunge.

I love The Shallows. It's probably my second favourite shark movie and Soloman Kane is a great piece of low budget fantasy.

Mulan is good but not as good as the animated original, it does look awesome though, the Chinese scenery looks beautiful. Not seen Lion King though (either versions!!).

Picked these up today, the Spider-Man found in Oxfam still wrapped up.
