The heaviest cinema cuts were to the killing of the hooker and the throat chops delivered by Clint to Kip Niven. The BBFC also reduced the shots of the bullet-ridden 'juddering' bodies.

The Dead Pool was also cut (very minor cuts) though the other Harry films were left intact. Surprising really in the case of the original. Eastwood's films were often cut by the BBFC.

True Romance looks really good in blu. Some reviewers were mistaking the soft focus of the image for DNR but it's just the way it was filmed, and looks great and I don't think anyone could have a bad word to say about the quality of Dirty Harry blu-rays.They all look fantastic.

The Offical PS3 Mag give the Dirty Hary BluRay set 1 star , saying that the films themselves were a pointles addition to the BluRay catalouge.

vipco 28th December 2009 02:39 PM

1 Star equals utter rubbish, AVOID.!!!!

Not my opinion btw.

Daemonia 28th December 2009 03:00 PM

WTF? A pointless addition to the Blu-ray catalogue?? Sadly, this does seem to be the opinion of a large slice of the so-called 'PS3 Generation'. On Blu-ray.com, when Blue Underground first announced a slate of Blu-ray titles, there were many comments along the lines of 'old ass films that are not worthy of being on Blu-ray' or 'these films are old and crap and don't deserve to be on Blu-ray'. Very, very sad indeed to read rubbish like that.
