I've just ordered Witchfinder General, so my hopes are extremely high for this restored version of one of my favourite British horror films.

Just to add a comment to earlier posts regarding Rollerball.

The remake is dire. Bought it when it first came out on region 1, thankfully you could still get decent trade prices for dvd's in second hand shops back then.

Popped into my local 'That's Entertainment' store today.

Still got the 3 for £10 Blu-Ray offer. Picked up:

Red Cliff (the 2 odd hour version, not the Special Edition).

The Omega Man.

The Cowboys (John Wayne).

:)

I have the 25th anniversary collectors box of Goonies.
It comes with a special edition artwork for the DVD cover and a little comic book thing which has a bunch of photos and actor bio's etc.
It comes in a little brown box.
Is that the same as yours?

Just got this today, anything with rats wearing yellow raincoats jumps right to the top of my weekend viewing pile.

You got them for a steal, thats a great price! Red Cliff is breathtaking, The Omega Man obviously a classic Heston sci fi and The Cowboys a decent later John Wayne effort.

I've recently pre-ordered THE NESTING and just bought David Lynch's DUNE from amazon.com. Never seen DUNE but read excellent things and generally love 80's sci-fi so I can't wait for this to come! Have read that this US release is THE definitive HD edition too, with better PQ than the French, German and HD-DVD releases

Three days after the initial failed delivery, the sorting office finally found the misfiled package. I have them!!!

And thanks to PaulRobinson for I Spit On Your Grave and Maniac DVDs which arrived this morning.

I'd forgotten about The Nesting and so will have to order it soon.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 10th June 2011 02:31 PM

That is one superb looking Goonies set, Ant. Does it have pride of place in your collection?
