I've just finished a double bill of Witchfinder General and Don't Look Now. There's only one word to describe the films and the HD treatment they have received: stunning. Considering how bad some of the material in Witchfinder General looks on DVD (the stuff that was cut out to make the theatrical version), it now looks (and sounds) amazing and I really hope The Wicker Man receives the same treatment sooner rather than later. As far as Don't Look Now goes, the AV upgrade is astounding and it is a masterpiece of psychological horror. I'm going to go through the extra features and get a review up early next week. If you don't own (or have ordered) these yet, do it ASAP! |
also picked up True Grit 2011 on Blu for 8.00 pre-owned. bargain me thinks. |

Glad to hear both those films (I've pre-ordered both) are of such excellent quality Nos! I just bought DARK CITY from cex for £8. Considering its OOP, thats a very good price compared to the £40+ listings on amazon marketplace and the £18 on zavvi. I believe the US version is region locked too so that wasn't an option. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg |
