Over the weekend I watched THE RITE which was obviously made by fans of THE EXORCIST.
Eastwood's HEREAFTER was okay,but somewhat off the track for Clint.....and managed THE FACULTY-Excellent though there are no extras whatsoever,and Dante's PIRANHA.
Shout Factory really did these films proud!:nod:

Completely agree mate. :nod:

I have a few, and they're all top quality releases. Humanoids from the Deep is probably my favourite, of what they've released so far.

You getting their release of Battle Beyond the Stars, Reaps?

Sure will mate,I've ;
GALAXY OF TERROR
HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP
FORBIDDEN WORLD
and the wonderful cheesy
STAR CRASH to get through this week.:woot:

Shout! Factory have provided some great releases -- Humanoids from the Deep is a great BD of a film I wouldn't otherwise have heard about and Battle Beyond the Stars is on my list for the next time I order some USB these.

Not sure what The Killer's like, it was only £2 on eBay so figured it's worth a shot. Not seen many of John Woo's films, to my shame

Although I haven't seen all of John Woo's films, I'd put The Killer right up at the top with Hard Boiled. It's a terrific movie and an absolute bargain at £2.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Awesome, I look forward to it's arrival. I'm sure I've heard of it mentioned a lot in conjunction with Woo in the same way that Hard Boiled is always mentioned, and have probably read interviews with Tarantino talking about it a lot actually.

The Killer is one of the greatest action films ever made, the scenes of brutal gun violence are so balletic it's almost beautiful. The finale is one of the most insane gun battles of all time. Hard Boiled is another great film but i would rank The Killer as John Woo's best film, it really is a great flick and apart from the action has a really good story, and seeing as that HKL release is way way way OOP at £2.00 you have gotten your self a bloody good bargain.
