I've had/have four versions on DVD and the BD looks better than any of the SD releases, though the difference isn't night and day. Where the BD does win is by gathering all the extra features together and by having the original DD mono, a lossless stereo and uncompressed 5.1 surround tracks. Thanks Nos:), read somewhere that 16mm film has a resolution very close to 1080p, whereas 35mm has much higher rez. Amazed at how nice the daylight scenes looked, think I'll stick with the dvd for now(put it on to check it and ended up sitting down and watching it, a very good sign indeed) off topic a bit, but what a shame they all got ripped off so bad. |
