Charity shops are becoming the source of choice for really cheap DVD,s. Have yet to find a blu ray disc in stock yet but will happen soon I've no doubt. Watching Hanna on blu ray tonight. Looks pretty good!

Isn't it so people with notebooks and things like iPads -- devices with decent screens but no DVD/BD drive -- can watch the film on the train or as passengers on long car journeys?

Anyway, last night I ordered To Live and Die in L.A., the US BD.

Yep, it WAS a good(cunning) plan, when the copy was included on disc, but surely most people with notebooks have external drives? but to be pedantic downloading nearly a gig is in no way free(mobile net is pricey) anywhere up to £15 a gig. people are better off converting/ripping it to HDD then onto notebook. And ipad owners, serves em right for spending all that money and not even getting USB:lol::lol:

TO LIVE AND DIE IN LA, top film indeed looked pretty good even on video, so Blu should be great.

The US BD of To Live And Die In LA does indeed look great. One of my all time favourite films.

The R1 DVD was excellent with lots if extras. Does the BR have even more?

I came across a video called Nightmare City in a charity shop the other day. It's not the Lenzi film, it was directed by David Mitchell and has a score by Tangerine Dream. Anybody know anything about it?

City of Shadows (1987) - IMDb

Unfortunately not. The blu-ray is a two-disc effort, disc one is a blu-ray featuring just the movie (remastered) and trailer, disc two is a standard DVD featuring all the extras from the original DVD release. It's not ideal an it would he nice to have some new extras but at least you get all the existing material and it's not taking any space away from the main feature.
