Love AKIRA! Its a ground breaking, incredible film full of jaw-dropping animation despite its age. It should be considered as one of the great sci-fi films I reckon. And the steelbook is just beautiful. OK I'll stop gushing now

Has anyone got CITTA VIOLENTA on blu ray?? I just ordered it (£16.50 on amazon.it) and I'm curious about its AV. I really hope its a good transfer!!

It's supposed to look good but it's a 1080i/25 encode. I'm going to hang for a bit and see if BU do one seeing as they seem to be whisking their way through their catalogue. My ( nicely crystal clear) Hollywood DVD will have to do for now.

I had an American delivery too this morning. A few weeks ago, I bought a brand new copy of BU's 2 disc DVD of Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue from a trusted eBay seller and when I opened it I accidentally ripped the card sleeve so I emailed BU for a replacement which arrived today, free of charge. Very good of them seeing as I didn't purchase it from them

Footprints On The Moon for me tonight. Really looking forward to it. Seems to get nothing but good reviews!

Same here and the postman also brought The Stranger (1946) and Trollhunter.

Before they arrived, I went to Zavvi for the Disney BOGOF deal, picking up The Incredibles, Alice in Wonderland, Tangled and Beauty and the Beast for £31.98 (with Quidco cashback to come).

As there's another Disney BOGOF deal, I bought the following BDs:

The Incredibles
Beauty and the Beast
Tangled
Alice in Wonderland

£31.98 for the four, which is pretty good value.

Read that, looked it up, read some reviews, saw the dvdbeaver screenshots, bought the BU Blu Ray . . .
