Does the Tartan DVD contain the two versions ?
yes it does any recommendations on which i should view first?

Time Bandits for a tenner in HMV, oh yeah. They only had steelbooks for House of Usher so I didn't bother.

I usually pre-order the Arrow titles I want at the beginning of the month (payday) but I don't know if I will bother with American Virgin/Squirm/Lifeforce if HMV keep those prices for new Arrow releases.

Great. Watch the original first I think. The Witchcraft Through the Ages version is shorter than Häxan but it's still a valid re-design of the original film. I'm a big fan of William Burroughs so it's my preferred version. Let us know what you think of it when you get 'round to seeing it !

Your CEX's are a lot better than the grotty Southend branch. Bunch of chav titles that aren't worth the plastic they're pressed on!

@Trebor.

The Bay of Blood / Halloween double is terrible. Bay is cut heavily and the Halloween disc has terrible sound that doesn't bother to use a centre speaker so voices come from the rear and side speakers.

Luckily it was only 50p.

I'll be interested to see what they want for the Lifeforce steelbook when it comes out. They've been reasonably good with Arrow titles lately in ours. Though I'm not paying fifteen quid for Spider Baby.

Yes its the AB disc that's poor sound.

Don't know how you managed to get the Arrow disc - a mistake by shop staff probably. It should be the Film Shock 2000 version with 43 seconds cut out.
