I'm aware that it can move at a snail's pace and is as frustrating as it is great, but it's something I've wanted to watch for a while. I'm also aware that it got cancelled so things are left open-ended.

I also ordered Arrow's 'Invasion Of The Body Snatchers'.
Oh man, I've been meaning to watch Carnivale for ages now. I checked out the first 3 or 4 episodes...Really dug it! I've been meaning to give it all a real watch. When it comes to that stuff though I like to sit down and watch it all in one big go and I just haven't had the time yet.

It's still ongoing! 600+ episodes and still airing in Japan.

Yeah, I just googled it and read up on it.
I remember when it first aired on Australian TV. Would've been the very early 2000's.
I remember the first episode and I have some memories of the show. I imagine I would have watched the first season or possible the first few seasons maybe even.
Are the newer seasons/episodes still as good?

I just ordered these on eBay on DVD. Complete blind buys, I have no idea what these even are. They were cheap and they're horror movies though, I decided to spend the couple bucks and check them out.

Anyone know anything about these? Any good or did I just waste a couple bucks?

You would have seen the butchered and censored 4Kids version I grew up with then mate

Don't think the uncensored version ever made it to TV over here, but Madman are releasing the uncensored show now, and are certainly very far in on DVDs and blu rays now I think.
InDogWeTrust likes this.

Love Object is a surprisingly decent psycho-sexual thriller about a lonely office worker who decides to buy a life-like sex doll, who he models on a woman he has a crush on at work. He then starts to believe the doll to be real through hallucinatory means and from putting so much emphasis into 'bringing the doll to life' due to his loneliness and yearning.

Splinter is a really good creature/survival horror with some great FX on a limited budget.

Both great choices (in my opinion of course).

I've got HELL HOUSE, pretty solid HD transfer, very grainy in places but I was quite happy with it (although I'd only ever seen it recorded off the TV on VHS, I never had it on DVD).

THE HAUNTING is probably the same transfer as the US WB release which I have and looks excellent!

Two of the best horror movies ever made!
