a) I haven't posted in a while, or it at least feels like it, I haven't had much of a life for the last 7 weeks/I'm not up to date with anything
b) I'm in a rush and in the process of tidying up - by this I mean excuse the mess/sorry for not posting better photos
c) There may be duplicates, I may have posted these before (I don't just mean the overlap in the photos ) and forget when they arrived, I'll also possibly be missing about 20 other items that have arrived but I just wanted to post something
d) oooooh new smilies :halloween:

Recent pick ups, featuring a slight splurge in Fopp. I wish I had one near me. Couldn't believe it when I saw those BFI DVD releases from £6-8. I think the Ozu and Barbet Schroeder releases are cheaper online, but they're a little harder to resist put in front of you. Loving TWF taking a chance on the New Director's Of Japan set, and loving the KickStarter reward! Warner Archive finally seems to be hitting its stride with Blu-ray, can't wait for Possessed, hoping to see something with Bette Davis announced next. I really should have picked up Bava's Hatchet sooner (still no Rabid Dogs -_-). Island Of Terror is a complete blind buy, not sure if I'll like it, but at £10.99 in HMV, why not?

Fantastic haul BAKA - particularly the cheap BFI DVDs.

Here's some latest stuff. Double billed Slither and Super as soon as I got them, gotta say I'm James Gunn fan now, can't wait to see more of his stuff! Super especially blew my mind! (Gotta wonder though, what's his fascination with tentacles? )

I absolutely love Super. I was a fan of James Gunn even pre Slither, back when he was working with Troma. I regard Slither as one of the best American horror films of the last 10 years and so when Super came out I traveled 2 hours to the nearest cinema showing. I was blown away, it was one of the best experiences I have ever had watching a movie for the first time.

What release is that VeZius? Is it a new special edition?

Both Slither and Super are German releases. Got them from Amazon.de, Super is the mediabook edition, which has tons and tons of extras as well as a short Holy Avenger comic in english (and some other pages of information in german).

That's an awesome story about Super! Wish I could have seen it in the cinema too. It was definitely one of the best movie experiences for me too tho.

Was happy with these BD from CEX... £12 the lot, BF almost completes my pre-Dark Knight Batmans, now just 'Begins' to go.
