Remember watching them on Saturday afternoon as a kid. Loved them mind it wasn't until I read the books that I found that Sherlock holmes didn't fight nazis and it was set in Victorian times and Watson wasn't a fat bumbling fool.

For those intrested there is a Spanish or Italian version of the set which is a lot cheaper than this version.

More cheap n' cheerful Criterion discs. Especially looking forward to medium cool. Planet of the vampires was an obvious no brainer and the Sidaris collection was on my list for ages.

Agreed. It was one of the first Criterion BDs I bought, and it's still one of their best in my opinion.

I have the anchor bay box set with cul-de-sac and knife in the water so a real upgrade for me. I also have the criterion release of Rosemary's baby. Just need the price on cul-de-sac and macbeth to plummet and I shall be having them too. Also need to figure out which US release of Chinatown to pick up. The decent releases of The tenant, Knife in the water (polish release is apparently not English friendly).
