Went to the shops on the way home and got Beyond the Valley of the Dolls - finally! I wasn't going to buy it right away because it was so expensive but it come down to £17.99 and with it being limited I doubt it'll go lower. It's by far my favourite Russ Meyer film.

I can't wait to watch it but with a massive back log and loads of uni work to do I think it'll be waiting until I have a week off work in Feb

I must say Silent night does look pretty good, as a kinda abandoned P.D. film thought it would look pretty ropey, but those grabs seem fine, the film has always been of interest because Mary Woronov looks so damn nice in a 70s hippy way. (had it on VHS in mid 80s but lost it along the way somehow) now if other films of this ilk could have a nice makeover and escape from the 'Youtube' graveyard for abandoned films.

Did you read the Inspector's reviews of each episode in the Christmas horror thread back in December?

A Woman Sobbing is terrific.
These reviews Dem, any chance of a link? I can't find them and the search function on tapatalk isn't worth a toss.

The good inspector must have only reviewed the one.

Of the three episodes. A Woman Sobbing is possibly the best, but The Exorcism is also excellent. The other one about a plane is a little dull.

Ignore what i said on the Christmas Movies thread.

I just watched A Woman Sobbing. Very good given how cheap and cheerful it all was. Credit to to Anna Massey for making one of the most irritating miserable characters in the history of television somehow still capable of eliciting sympathy.
