I paid over £15 for the 40th anniversary Blu-ray release of TCSM when I bought it from Amazon in 2014 and can't remember anything about the documentary! I think both the film, and commentaries, and the documentary are well overdue a rewatch.

Me too, as far as I can tell it has the old Shocking Truth Doc from 2000 and Flesh Wounds - Seven Stories of The Saw; from 2006.

Both are incidentally also on my old Seriously Ultimate edition DVD I still have.

The only new features are two new audio commentaries.

You are referring to the Second Sight disc, right?
Just got back from HMV. Yeah, the Second Sight re-release. The new documentary is called 'Flesh Wounds: Seven Stories of the Saw.' It's supposed to be over 70 mins long. Thankfully the old 'Shocking Truth' documentary is also on the bonus disc. Am about to load up the film and will check out the new extras afterwards.

Edit: Just seen your post, didn't realise Seven Stories was so old. It's new to me anyway - I've never seen it.

Flesh Wounds was on the old Second Sight non-4K disc too and is from 2006 I believe. Still it is newer than the Shocking Truth one.

Fair enough! I just thought you meant it was a new exclusive doc for the 4K release so was confused.

It is a decent doc, not as good as Shocking truth as far as I can remember but still enjoyable.

Was it?? I honestly don't recall it being on there. Can't check now either as I sold off my old bd to Cex. L8R.

I thought it was new as well! At least I never had either of those 2 docs on any other format so they were added value for me as well.
I have the Steelbook, it looks really nice, the artwork really suits it.

I know it's fairly sacrilegious not to go with original mono tracks but I like also having a surround sound option.
Likewise. Done well i think surround remixes really benefit older films. I do appreciate they should be an option and not standard but I've never got the purist mentality with regard to them. I can't help thinking if filmmakers had the option back then they'd have surely used superior audio formats.

That makes sense. I've watched those documentaries several times because I reviewed the Seriously Ultimate Edition DVD and went into some detail on the extra features, listening to all the commentaries and watching the featurettes over a week. I was seriously clued up on all things to do with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre after that!
