Just been going back through the old mgm dvd. I have to admit Arrows blu is indeed an improvement in many ways. However I maintain the difference is nowhere near as noticeable as the step up The Thing is from an already good blu.

I haven't watched my copy of The Thing yet, but that is disappointing to read. On the other hand, it might save me some money!

Note my above post Nos. And base it on more opinions than just mine.

It is noted. I have a huge 'watchlist' so buying another copy of Carrie is not at the top of my list of priorities (the same goes for Suspiria). However, it might change if someone releases a 4K restoration on Ultra HD Blu-ray.

If the Arrow release of Carrie looks anything like Scream factory's I noticed the difference from the older releases almost immediately.

Anyone with xmas money to burn, the Synapse Suspiria is on WOWHD for just over £57. A little bit dearer than Diabolik but its free postage and now Diabolik is not guaranteed customs friendly Wow's works out a little cheaper.

Yeah. I've been noticing things more since I got my new Samsung tv earlier in the year. Weak transfers, good transfers. With Carrie it's the sheer level of detail in the image, as well as the colours.

I found the colours a bit muted compared to the dvd. And while there is improved detail in the image its not enough to really justify the level of grain now on show.
