Finally got the Synapse blu-ray of Suspiria. Bloody hell this is one beautiful looking release. If anyone says the UK or Italian blu’s are just as good, they’re wrong. Unless Don May Jr decides to put out a 4K disc, the film will never look this good. And the original 4.0 soundtrack (exclusive to the Synapse disc) needs to be heard to be believed.

A couple for me this weekend that I forgot I bought hah, Marillion Live at the Royal Albert Hall was paid for a couple of months ago and I completely forgot that I'd ordered it! Star Wars, I know it divided fans, and I'm looking forward to seeing it again to see how I feel about it the second time. I enjoyed it at the cinema but I didn't LOVE it. It was long, the plot was very thin and there was a bit of comedy which seemed out of place, but the epicness of some scenes totally over shadowed all of that.

Picked up the UK's Criterion blu-ray of Romero's Night of the Living Dead. It really bothered me that my old Optimum version was often heavily cropped/zoomed in. But I am still keeping my old version for the feature-length One For The Fire documentary. Will watch tomorrow. Since the Criterion PQ is 4K mastered, this should be the best NOTLD presentation that I've seen as of yet.

Just won this Blu-Ray on eBay for about £5.50. Apparent "like new, as if just out of shrink wrap".

Could it have been damaged in transit? If not that's disgraceful

£45 inc. Postage. Off eBay. The packaging is all in German but considering the 7 new studio canal releases are 2 for £25 in the uk it's saved me a few quid.
