Can anybody comment on the pq of the new halloween blu? Would like to get it but eyeing up a spanish blu on amazon!

It looks very nice imo. It's an exact clone of the 35th anniversary edition so any reviews of that will give some indication of the quality. btw The 'mono' is a downmix of the 7.1 track whereas the Spanish blu-ray by Resen (which is said to have identical PQ) has a true mono track. Hope that helps.

I don't mind the 7.1 remix so I just bought the cheaper option. But I can understand why others want the original mono track. I have no idea as to what extras (if any) are on the Spanish blu-ray. I was pleased that the 35th anniversary disc contained 10 mins of television version footage (which I think was shot at the same time as Halloween II)?.

The spanish blu has the carpenter/curtis commentary & 2 90 min docs along with loads more, but as I have the 25 Years of Terror release from anchor bay (basically 4 discs of supplements!), think i'll go for the uk release for the tv footage and commentary. Hmv have it for £4.99 when you buy any item so will get when I pick up 2 for 25 tomorrow!

I have the original release of the Halloween blu-ray which doesn't have the greatest picture quality. and although i don't usually double dip on films, i will for £4.99

hi guys, just got the following

Assault on precinct 13-never saw this film but have read good reviews about it

Even lambs have teeth-blind buy if im honest

Madman on blu ray-already own this on standard DVD, but this has a lot more extras.

Depends which version of assault on precinct 13 if remake its OK for what it is , if original well you're in for one hell of a good treat its a fantastic film .
