There is actually really a good reason to keep that hope, because a HD transfer was already shown on German TV, so getting this on BD is rather only a small step remaining...

Here is some info about that:

The X-Files Remastered in HD, But Only for the Germans

Now i have been waiting for this for toooooooo long... it looks like Studio Canal are getting it out on Blu Ray for November 3rd.

Spirited Away!

Also Studio Canal have announced a Blu-Ray box set of Miyazaki films, as of yet they have not said what titles are included but you can pre order it on Amazon.co.uk for a eye watering £180!

All the Hammer films that Warner's currently hold the rights to.
Would love to see Dracula Has Risen From the Grave, Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed, Taste The Blood of Dracula, and Dracula AD on Bluray.

Return of the Living Dead Part II
After purchasing the excellent Second Sight release of the first film I would love to have the sequel with unaltered audio (I have the Warner DVD with altered audio)
As for parts 3-5 these are all available on Blu-ray, but i have never watched any of them, are they worth getting?

Part 3 is an excellent film IMO, I actually prefer it to the first two, parts 4 & 5 are worth picking up if cheap because they're only ok, nothing special
