Both are definitely worth watching.

I'm reading The Cramps biography at the moment and Lux name checked The man with x-ray eyes as one of the films which influenced the band so I'm curious about seeing that one too.

Frankenstein unbound is on youtube.

There's a DVD release that can be had quite cheap...

Frankenstein Unbound DVD 1990 Region 1 US Import NTSC: Amazon.co.uk: DVD & Blu-ray

It's adapted from the Brian Aldiss novel (that also had a companion book Dracula unbound - never filmed) essentially providing a fresh take on the story and its universal themes of man creating his own doom through curiosity.

Surprised to see Death Race 2 so high (or at all!) Is it really that good? I've seen the first one (with the Stath) and thought it mildly entertaining at best.

It kind of ramps up everything. Sex, violence, the lot. In my opinion it's everything sci-fi bubblegum films like Death Sport, Battle Truck etc should have been.

Plus, Luke Goss who's a very underrated actor shines in it. One of those films like The Tournament that should have been a big cinema hit but instead went DTV.

I much preferred it to the over rated Mad Max Fury Road.

Death Race 3 is also worth a watch.

Oh! And did i mention Tanit Phoenix?

I'm not sure how, because it sounds like the sort of thing I'd enjoy, but I don't think I've seen it.
