A great score stays in your head long after the film finishes. I could part of the soundtrack to every film i placed in my top ten.

Halloween III, not at all unless it's that bloody song. I've seen it each of the past three Octobers as well.

What i'm saying is that's why you probably didn't feature it as it's not top 10 material.

Very true I was listening to Blade Runner in the car last night so that may have swayed my decision

I wondered if this would be in your top 10.

I thought about it but decided both Bob Dylan and especially Ry Cooder have done similar but better, but that's just my opinion.

Neil Young's score is excellent with the film but i'm not sure i'd want to play the soundtrack on it's own. Way too much single note feedback.

By the way I didn't put Inside Llewyn Davies in my list even though I wanted to because I couldn't decide if it would be considered a musical!

As a lover of Sonic Youth I felt right at home first time I heard the soundtrack

Damn you Nordy this is difficult!

A couple of my possible choices for soundtracks also include original music tracks composed especially for the films in question (so technically those tracks are scores) so may have to make a big 'combined' list...

I know! Put a bunch of them in my Amazon wishlist today. One or two major omissions from my collection.
