I wasn't. Star Wars, Starship Troopers, Independance Day all clear cut war films albiet in a scifi setting.

I'm making two lists: one with actual servicemen (soldiers, sailors, pilots) and/or fighting and one where the war is the backdrop to the film. Casablanca is going to be on the second list.

That would fit the criteria for my second list. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade could go on either list because there is actual fighting and planes, tanks, and other war machinery.

I believe the criteria for this week is for the wars to be real ones, either past or present, on planet earth and not science fiction ones in a different dimension, nor a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away!

Exactly it's best to keep Sci Fi out of it there will be a Sci Fi list at some point.
