Top 10 British Horror Films ( ≤ 1949) The Night Has Eyes (1942) Dead Of Night (1945) The Halfway House (1946) The Ghoul (1933) Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street (1936) The Terror (1938) Castle Sinister (1948) Alas it's only a top seven up to press. I do have these films as well but haven't yet watched them. Damn you Decemberdike! The Ghost Train (1941) Tower of Terror (1941) House Of Darkness (1948) The Phantom Light (1935) Black Limelight (1938) The Door With 7 Locks (1940) Someone at the Door (1936) |

Psychological horror certainly, in the same vein as Girly and Twisted Nerve etc.

I'm trying to be strict with myself until after I've been to Japan, I bought Penda's Fen as my treat this month and I'm already considering buying The Firm as well The new(ish) Vintage Classics edition looks really nice though I just had a quick look!
