Ok then.

Faulty Towers, easily the best comedy ever made on these shores, or any for that matter.
Coupling.
Red Dwarf.
Mr Bean.
Luther.
Whitechapel.
Sherlock.
BBC Ghost Stories For Christmas.
The Night Manager.
Thriller.

Honourable mention to Only Fools and Horses and The Inbetweeners.

Sorry its mixed genre but frankly there's not enough British TV i like to do two lists.

I assume you mean the drama/serious shows given you've already done your comedy list?
I love Coupling, well the first three series anyway. Sarah Alexander is a very...erm...talented actress.

Hmm, tough one, so many to choose from, at least from the 60s to the 90s.

1 Doctor Who (classic)
2 The Avengers
3 Callan
4 Taggart (the version that actually has Taggart in it from 83-95)
4 Blackadder
5 The Young Ones
6 Drop the Dead Donkey
7 Father Ted
8 Miss Marple (Hickson)
9 Sherlock Holmes (Brett)
10 One Foot in the Grave

Bubbling under: Robin of Sherwood, The Bill (1984-2001), Jonathan Creek (pre-season 5 anyway), Only Fools and Horses, The PD James Mysteries (with Roy Marsden), Red Dwarf

British TV was the best up until the 90s, where the US did briefly supercede it. They both suck now though.

I know I'm (to quote Jethro Tull) living in the past, but there is a fascinating documentary on the Arrow release of 'Mark Of The Devil' that looks at the "New Wave Of British Horror Films" made during the late 60's and 70's
Demoncrat and nosferatu42 like this.

There is. Oddly I've watched the documentary but not got around to actually watching the film yet.
