I've never seen it and never really felt the inclination to because of its running time and turgid reputation.

I was close to having Das Boot in my list but it's just far too long to consider it a fave of mine.

At least we have the time and date when Dem finally lost the plot.

You really need to rectify that. It's not a bad film at all. The fact it's all set out at sea, no CGI, means it's actually quite an experience.

Yeah, I'm not suggesting for a minute its a horror film Nos. Just that it has sequences that are frightening.

It's only 2hrs 15 mins Nos, not exactly marathon viewing Give it a go, do you have Amazon Prime? If so you can watch it for free.

I like the film and miniseries equally, with the latter being approximately one hour longer. However, although the miniseries provides more character development, if I had time to watch both, I would choose the film because the uninterrupted flow works to its advantage, whereas the credits in between episodes are a little like adverts during a film on commercial TV.

Yeah Waterworld is pretty fun. It certainly doesn't deserve its poor reputation. I honestly don't get all the Titanic love though... but each to their own. |
