Extreme Horror Not really a watcher of these recent spate of extreme films. Films that i think are decent but are extreme to me and i think most average movie goers would find harsh. Cannibal Holocaust Martyrs I Spit On Your Grave House On The Edge Of The Park New York Ripper Last House On The Left Ichi The Killer Salo Man Bites Dog The Devils Other extreme films that i find pretty watchable. Thriller- they call her one eye Caligula Bloodsucking Freaks Ilsa, She Wolf Of The Ss Necromantik Men behind the Sun and Guinea pig- flowers of flesh and blood are two pieces of extreme stuff i used to watch but don't think i would be able to watch anymore, even though i think Men behind the sun was a pretty decent film. Killing of America is the only mondo film i feel like watching these days, well that and Mondo Topless. Human Centipede i found to be a pretty decent film, but the second one felt was too much. I can't even bring myself to watch A Serbian film, think i must be getting old or something.

Salo. Fun film for history buffs and political thinkers alike. Forced Entry. Murderous hippy scum kill a true American Hero. August Underground's Mordum. Like a small child swearing, more cute than shocking. Martyrs. What really happens in the back room of your local New Age crystals and Angels shop. Begotten. The Bible as it really is. Scrapbook. Harmless look at the hobby of scrapbooking that sadly has been replaced by blogging in the modern age. Fingered. A dying art in the age of phone filmed blow jobs. The Taming of Rebecca. School high jinx and forced piercings. Not dissimilar to a rough and ready Enid Blyton book. Vase de Noces. A vegan's wet dream. Aftermath. Love is a cold. |

Just putting my penny worth Extreme films what was extreme in the 80s is pretty tame now. Only odd film stands test of time. Just occasionally a extreme film comes along and i worry why or how can anyone actual enjoy these films. Not judging anyone who does. But we all know story behind guinea pig series and charlie sheen, and to be fair kinda easily to understand why. But i find now a lot of films there not there to shock you or push boundries, Its like a contest who can up the notch to produce the sickest and most disturbing film and i think their ruining the horror industry and concept of a good horror or disturbing film. By keep doing it. Look at films years ago that where classed as disturbing tcm for eg yet what you actualy see in the film is bare minimum. A serbian film ive made no bones i dont understand the rape baby scene. Why in any possible way is that classed as acceptable? Even if the scene looks false. Inside i dont find disturbing just more of a film heavily on blood and gore and boy what a fantastic film it is. As much as i enjoyed the first Human centipede the storyline was more disturbing than the film. But thought the barb wire rape scene was unnecessary and to extreme in the 2nd one Headless the film was utter garbage and just basically someone has sex with the head. Yet its strange how society accept these types of films as entertainmemt and imo its not after all films are meant to be enjoyed arent they? Slaughter vomit dolls.. One word why? Ive seen August underground trilogy and they hold no interest to me And load of other films i cant really make judgement because ive not seen them and have no interest to either Just wondering when its all going to stop and go back to making good old fashioned extreme cinema like i spit, last house, cannibal ferox, and not today style of film, there not just extreme but also dam right disturbing If extreme youre thing then fair enough each to their own. Its just begs the Q? Of how bad things have got when even fans of extreme cinema and horror are occasionally complaining and refusing to watch odd film here and there. But where we going to from here? Last edited by gag; 11th October 2016 at 12:33 AM. |

Dolls, Toys and Clowns. Dead of Night (1945) Toy Story 3 (2010) The Rocking Horse Winner (1949) The Devil's Rejects (2005) Barbarella (1968) House of 1000 Corpses (2001) Curse of Chucky (2013) Dolls (1987) May (2002) Love Object (2003) Quick mention for Shonteff's Devil Doll (1964), a classic, but i left it out as it was too similar to the doll segment in Dead of Night. |
