Some of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was okay, but the ending with the aliens is one of those "No. Just no." moments.

If they want another film, there would have to be an element of Last Crusade about it, bumping Harrison Ford up to the Sean Connery role (Connery was younger in Last Crusade than Harrison Ford is now) and make the film more about Mutt (Shia LaBeouf) and Indy as a double act than an Indiana Jones solo outing.

God no, how about someone shoots Mutt and he has to retrieve the body or something, (to burn it and make sure) just no more mutt.
How bout Mutt was actually a spy planted to get info and he has to go and hunt the bastard down.
Then he finds his real (much less of a twat) son who was captured.

You one of those that hates Shia LeBoof (yes I know the spellings wrong) for no discernable reason other than just having a shit name then nos?

Granted both Mutt and Shia are shit names.

No i don't hate the guy (even if he does have a silly name), just didn't think much of him as Indy's son.
I mean by the way they set up the story it seemed as though he was there to take over after Ford hits the scrap heap.
I couldn't see him holding up in a solo Son of Indy film.

Maybe they should have stolen a stone from Stonehenge, transported it to back water USA and put small fragments of it into Halloween masks to kill and then take over the population of America. That would have made much more sense.

No and no.

Crystal Skull was set in the fifties, indeed the beginning was set on a US Air Force base out in the desert. Having aliens in seemed fairly logical to me as it was a hot topic together with the Cold War at the time and the film attempted to encapsulate both of them.

To be honest the only Jones film with any credibility in real life is Temple of Doom as that doesn't feature fantastical elements whereas the other three do.

Possibly why I find Doom the weakest. While I do enjoy it and it is still a million times better than a lot of what passes for cinema these days. Crystal Skull is great fun and I never got why a lot had such problems with the alien angle. The whole ancient astronaut theory is a fascinating topic.

I'd forgotten all about this. Cheers for the reminder J.

Thanks to all who produced a top 10 sequels list. It was a far more successful subject than Martial Arts which kind of surprised me.

This weeks subject is a bit up close and personal.

What are your TOP 10 MOST WATCHED FILMS IN YOUR COLLECTION?

Remember these may not be what you consider your favourites of all time but the ones you watch the most. For example. Land of the Dead is a film i watch more or less every year. I see it as a fun feel good movie. However it wouldn't make my top 10 films list but it will rank in this list.
