Seeing it on so many lists has certainly made me a little more interested in seeking it out... I may have to add it to the pile.
You should. It is incredibly powerful with arguably James Stewart's finest performance at the head of a brilliant ensemble cast including Claude Rains and Jean Arthur and tight, moving writing by Sidney Buchman all brought to life by Frank Capra's deft direction.

No not at all. I don't recall you raving much over Capra on the forum in the past.

Well for what it's worth, I really like both Arsenic and Old Lace and It's a Wonderful Life.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington is better than Arsenic and Old Lace (and others such as You Can't Take It with You, Mr Deeds Goes to Town, Meet John Doe), but It's a Wonderful Life is Capra's masterpiece.

This is a tricky one. As much as I really enjoy political movies, I don't tend to watch them more than the one time. Lots on other lists I've not seen, so getting some good homework out of this.

1. In the Loop (2009)
2. JFK (1991)
3. Bloody Sunday (2002)
4. The Ides of March (2011)
5. Good Night and Good Luck (2005)
6. Richard III (1995)
7. The Contender (2000)
8. Thirteen Days (2000)
9. Salvador (1986)
10. Green Zone (2010)
