I agree. Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley and 'The Monster's Mate' are strong female roles, but they are not leads.

My list is perhaps stretching some of the roles, but it does currently contain 75 and I can't think of 65 I want to omit!

Lanchester is behind Ernest Thesiger and Colin Clive for second billing behind Karloff.
