I don't know if bizarre_eye would be up for this, but if you can all put them as a list, then (as he did before) could work out the aggregate order, with the first place film given 10 points and last place given 1 point. I know he did that before (in a different section) and would give us the 'Cult Labs List of Alfred Hitchcock Films'.

Top 10 films by the 'Master of Suspense'.

North by Northwest*
Rear Window
The Trouble with Harry
Psycho
The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956)
Vertigo
Notorious
Rope
Suspicion
The Birds

North by Northwest is easily my favourite Hitchcock film. I've been fortunate to see it on the big screen as well. As for the rest? Don't read into it that The Birds is far worse than say Rear Window... actually it is, but it's still a great film. In fact i consider all my ten to be masterpieces of cinema.

ALFRED HITCHCOCK FILMS
  1. Psycho
  2. North by Northwest
  3. Vertigo
  4. Rear Window
  5. Notorious
  6. The Birds
  7. Suspicion
  8. Shadow of a Doubt
  9. Strangers on a Train
  10. Rebecca
11. The 39 Steps
12. Strangers on a Train
13. The Lady Vanishes
14. Spellbound
15. The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956)
16. The Trouble with Harry
17. Lifeboat
18. The Wrong Man
19. Frenzy
20. Marnie

This was surprisingly difficult and based on how often I've watched the films, and how enjoyable I've found them. It was very hard to have these two lists and not include I Confess, Stage Fright, Rope, Secret Agent, Family Plot, The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934), Torn Curtain, Saboteur, and Topaz. There are so many which I haven't seen in some years and remember really enjoying, so the order is quite 'approximate' at the moment and this might be time for a Hitchcock week!

I don't see the top 10 changing very much, but 11-20 could be very different in a week.

Yes, I could do that.

You may need to give me a nudge next Monday though!

Excellent. It would have been ideal if we did that with Lucio Fulci, developing the (semi official) Cult Labs Lucio Fulci list! Maybe another time.
