Sticking with Asian horror, I have One Missed Call, A Tale of Two Sisters, Dark Water, The Eye, Thirst, Pulse, R-Point, Three Extremes, Dumplings, and Ju-on: The Grudge on my long list. Cutting it down from just over 50 to 10 is going to be really difficult.

I'm now down to a top 21. (Take note Barlow, i'm not listing 19 like you did ) Cutting that down will be hard work.

There's a hell of a lot of good films from the years 2000-09. If anything there are a better level of films released kind of below the absolute top tier than there were in the 80's and 90's.

A Tale of Two sisters I only seem that once, was the remake any good??

I didn't think I realised how many really good horror films were released between 2000-09 when I put this forward as a topic yesterday and it is only by compiling a list that, like you, I appreciated what a good decade it was for horror and how difficult making a list of only 10 will be.

It is something that could have been done over two weeks (2000-2004 and 2005-2009), but that's with 20/20 hindsight!

I thought the remake was also surprisingly good, but not in the same class as the original film.

I'm probably going to do a long list like you and then try and be really ruthless to get down to just 10 from the entire decade. It won't be one from each year, but just the cream of the crop, the very best from what is a very deep and varied decade of horror films.
