Gotta agree with the comments about the actors (apart from the awesome Fred Gwynne) being pretty bad, Denise Crosby is a terrible actress
Denise Crosby must be kicking herself for leaving star trek

She's said so many times that it's the biggest regret of her life, she did manage too come back now then as Sela ,Yars half romulan daughter. Original she was going to be Troi and vice versa

Only decent thing Denise Crosby did was The Red Shoe Diaries.

My thanks to everyone for your well reasoned and interestingly written lists of the films which frighten (or scared you) the most. I found it interesting to explore what I found frightening and see how that compared to other lists – it's amazing how childhood and our living situations.

On that, and on the buildup to Halloween, could you have a think about films in which the main character(s), or one of them, has risen from the grave and is someone dead? It could be a vampire, a zombie, a mummy, a mistaken burial where someone was never really dead, but when a person was considered dead, subsequently buried, and comes back to prominently feature in the film.

RISEN FROM THE GRAVE FILMS

It will be interesting to see how many people have never seen Dracula Has Risen from the Grave yet place it in the top ten anyway.

I think it'll be interesting to see how the lists are weighted in terms of the films generally defined whether they are vampire, zombie, mummy, revenant, non-human, and more general, non-specific grave risers.

It's going to take me a few days to be happy with a long list before starting the cut down process to get to a definitive 10.

How about no zombies, Hammer, vampires or Frankenstein-esque films!
