I thought you'd seen both, but I'm not sure why.

Absurd... genuinely debating this one as it often overlaps with surrealism. However I think these 10 fit the category and are all worth seeing.

This category is really not for me going off these lists.

For example of K's ten the only ones i've seen are the Monty Python film (Okay but i'm not the biggest Python fan), Repo Man (Sorry in a minority here but i didn't rate it at all) and Valerie (An all time classic Gothic nightmare and not remotely absurd)

Interesting list. I haven't seen The Funky Forest but I love the title!

I don't think I'd have considered Valerie and Her Week of Wonders is absurd. It's probably surreal, but I haven't seen it in quite some time and would need to refresh my memory before putting it on my list.

It's really interesting how these lists can occasionally show a huge difference in people's tastes very easily. For example, bizarre_eye seemed to relish the opportunity to list some of his favourite films whereas you would struggle to make a top three!

B_e just lists a bunch of arthouse stuff no one's ever seen so we don't know it it's absurd or not.

You may very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

In terms of struggling to make a list, didn't you have a similar problem with animation?

Only in that i choose to ignore them aside from a few Disney classics. Although now i've discovered the DC animated films i could do a top ten with some of those in as one or two were excellent.

I was being harsh on b_e.

There are one or two on his list of 25 that i actually own.

I've just checked my online database and it seems I have only watched my Criterion Collection BD once, and that was nearly 3 years ago (25/11/15)!

Maybe I'll watch it again this weekend and see if it fits the definition of 'absurdist' and, if so, if I think enough of it for it to make my list.
