I'm really surprised no one has selected (at least) one of the Zatoichi films yet. The character, and the films, was one of the first which came to mind.

FILMS WITH A BLIND CHARACTER

I didn't want to include any of the Shintaro Katsu Zatoichi films because I have the boxset to watch and it's been years since I saw any of them; the only one I have seen recently is the Takeshi Kitano version, which I think is a terrific film.
  1. City Lights
  2. Don't Look Now
  3. The Beyond
  4. Peeping Tom
  5. Bride of Frankenstein
  6. Young Frankenstein
  7. The Eye (2002)
  8. Julia's Eyes
  9. Manhunter
  10. Kwaidan
  11. The Cat o' Nine Tails
  12. Broken Embraces
  13. Zatōichi (2003)
  14. Wait Until Dark
  15. Ray
  16. The Sentinel
  17. The Road
  18. Tommy
  19. Scent of a Women
  20. See No Evil, Hear No Evil

My thanks to those who contributed a list of their favourite films with a prominent blind character, which is making me look forward to watching my Criterion Collection Zatoichi Blu-ray box set even more than I already was.

A few weeks ago, you came up with your favourite films with mismatched couples in buddy cop movies. This week, I'd like you to do the opposite and name your favourite couples, the two people who are – romantic, platonic, professional, or in a paternal/maternal way – a perfect match.

They may not seem that way at the beginning of the film, or even may not be together when the credits roll. However, for some of the film, the chemistry between them is tangible.

A very simple topic this week, devoted to a giant of the stage and screen who died last week.

ALBERT FINNEY FILMS

Aside from Wolfen, Murder on the Orient Express and Millers Crossing i don't even remember Finney in the films he's listed in on IMDB.

Replies to these topics are dwindling fast...what happened to Cult Labs style top 10's?
